The OLSM Student Council is an elected body of student representatives consisting of eight Executive Officers elected by the student body and of representatives elected by each individual class.

The purpose of the Student Council is to promote a better understanding and cooperation among students, faculty and administration and to provide a responsible voice for students in planning and carrying out activities which affect them, their needs and their school spirit.

The OLSM Student Council is also in charge of the Homecoming Dance and Spirit Week activities, which include fund raisers and food drives as well as organizing individual class competitions. Students are encouraged to submit their ideas and objectives, which are voted upon and/or implemented with the help of the Student Council and staff and administration. Recently the students have also initiated a new bowling club, chess club, intramural basketball and various other activities to encourage student involvement and school spirit.
