Catholic Education
Although students need not be Catholic to attend St. Mary’s, all students are educated in the Catholic tradition. This tradition includes four years of theology in the classroom as well as attendance at Mass twice weekly. Students are also required to perform community service as determined by the theology department. Additional opportunities for spiritual development, such as class retreats, are available for students, and the School Chaplain, campus minister, and many campus priests are happy to guide students regarding their individual programs.

Academic Assistance
St. Mary’s offers ACT preparation courses free of charge to its students at various times throughout the academic year. Additional programs are available at cost, including private instruction/tutorial services. Please check monthly calendars for listings or call the Academic Deans or Guidance Counselors for additional information.
Weekly progress report sheets are available in the Academic Offices for students to use as a gauge in assessing their current academic status on a weekly basis. It is the student’s responsibility to distribute this sheet to his teachers, usually on a Thursday or Friday.
Students having difficulty in one or more subjects may arrange for peer tutoring through the Academic Office. Students will be matched with National Honor Society tutors on a one-on-one basis. Parents may contact the Academic Dean’s Office for more information regarding this service.
