A student will not receive credit for a course in the event he fails to comply with the daily attendance schedule.
-
Failed or incomplete work must be made up during the summer recess. A student is automatically placed on probation if he fails two subjects; three failures substantiates ground for dismissal. A meeting with the Academic Dean must be scheduled for a validated plan of recovery.
-
If any hold on records (e.g. “incomplete” in course grades, unpaid or unsatisfied P.I.P./S.I.P. hours, uniform, athletic [pay-to-play], library, campus equipment, and other miscellaneous fees) are reported on the student’s transcript, he will not be awarded a diploma until they are remedied.
College Placement
Ninety-nine to one hundred percent of St. Mary’s graduates who apply to colleges are accepted. Two full-time guidance counselors assist students in selecting colleges and universities, and seniors are given frequent, personalized direction. Many college representatives visit St. Mary’s during the year and are given the opportunity to speak to students in groups and individually. Recent graduates have attended colleges across the United States and in several countries, including Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Duke, Harvard, Holy Cross, Loyola of Chicago, Michigan State, Naval Academy, Notre Dame, Penn, Princeton, Purdue, Stanford, the United States Air Force Academy, The United States Coast Guard Academy, the universities of Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Point, and Yale.
