Forensics/Debate el. 11, 12 2 sem
The art of oratory – public speaking – is discussed in detail and implemented in this one-semester Forensics course. Students are encouraged to participate in Forensics tournaments but are not required to do so.
Lincoln-Douglas debate techniques are taught in the Debate course, as students expand the principles learned in Speech during the sophomore year. They will engage in formal in-class debates throughout the term
English as a Second Language (ESL) I/II pl 2 sem
International students who are not native speakers of English are appointed to this course and fully immersed in the English language in reading, compositions, and grammar lessons linguistically designed to effectively improve their communicative performance.

Algebra I 9th only 2 sem
Standard algebraic skills and concepts are covered, including factoring, problem solving, formulas, and graphing of both equations and inequalities. Placement based on performance on St. Mary’s Mathematics Placement Exam (MPE).
Honors Algebra I 9th only 2 sem
A progressive, accelerated, and more intensive version of the Algebra I course.
Geometry el. 10, 11, 12 2 sem
This course introduces the student to geometric terms, theorems, logical formulae, and leads to the completion of both formal and informal proofs. Congruency, parallelograms, circles, and polygons are studied at length and algebra-concepts are reviewed as needed.
Honors Geometry el. 10, 11, 12 2 sem
A progressive, accelerated, and more intensive version of the Geometry I course.
Algebra II el. 10, 11, 12 2 sem
In this course, the structure of algebraic thought and problem solving is studied and stressed. Major coverage includes fractions, relations, linear, quadratic, and exponential functions. Sequences, matrices, determinants, and logarithms are covered later in the course.
Honors Algebra II el. 10, 11, 12 2 sem
