Physical Education I/Health req 9 2 sem
The first semester of this course (Phys Ed) is a traditional gymnasium class that places an emphasis on conditioning, sportsmanship, and the principles of game and sport.
During the second semester, students move into a traditional classroom setting in order to learn the biological, psychological, and anatomical principles of maintaining a healthy mind and body. Students also learn Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and other safety lessons in this course required for graduation by the State of Michigan.
Business Administration el. 11, 12 2 sem
This is an introductory course that brings students to appreciate and understand the principles of good business, including marketing, advertising, financial guidelines, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Accounting I el. 11, 12 2 sem
This full-year course covers the basic theories and principles of accounting. Specific areas of emphasis include cash and payroll systems, taxes, fixed assets, and depreciation.
Accounting II el. 11, 12 2 sem
This course is a continuation of Accounting I, with an increased emphasis on corporate tax law and applications.
Computer Science req 9 2 sem
Required of all freshmen, this course introduces students to the logic and jargon of basic programming. Students will write and execute their own programs. Students are also introduced to the wonders of the Windows operating system and its many applications.
Advanced Computer Science el. 11, 12 2 sem
This is an advanced computer seminar for students interested in an expansive knowledge of computer applications, systems, and programming.
Advanced Networking and Web Design el. 11, 12 2 sem
Students work in our state-of-the-art computer lab at Web Design, programming, and networking. Hardware and software applications are used by students to update the school’s web page and work on other interesting hands-on projects.
Art I, II, III (Drawing/Jewelry/Ceramics) el. 10 1 sem
In this course, the basics principles of drawing, sketching, shading, color matching, and perspective are reviewed and taught. The student in these courses creates sketches, pottery, and jewelry.
