N.C.A.A. Clearinghouse
Students who wish to continue athletic participation at the collegiate level are to register with the N.C.A.A. Clearinghouse in the fall of their senior (12th grade) year.
Student/Parent/Spectator Decorum
Good sportsmanship is the responsibility of all players, coaches, advisors, faculty, students, spectators, and parents and is expected at all times. Those persons demonstrating ‘poor’ behavior may be asked to leave the playing area or may be prohibited from attending future events.
Athletic Withdrawal Policy
Once a student becomes a member in a sport activity, it is expected that he will finish the season. If for some reason a student is not able to fulfill his commitment for the season, he and his parents/guardians must make an appointment for discussion and explanation with the Athletic Director.
Pay-to-Play Policy
Beginning with the 2006-07 school year, St. Mary’s implemented a pay-to-play policy, whereby each athlete pays a $50 fee to participate in a sport, with a maximum of $100 per athlete per school year if he is involved in more than one sport. This fee is payable only after the student makes a team – there is not a fee for trying out. The monies collected are used to subsidize the transportation costs for our teams.
